The Halton Regional Police Service – 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau has completed a drug trafficking investigation in Oakville.  In the fall of 2022, investigators identified a suspect and observed him conduct numerous drug transactions in Oakville and Mississauga.

On January 19, 2023, a Controlled Drug and Substances Act search warrant was obtained and executed at a residence in the area of Vanderbilt Road and Tenth Line West in Mississauga.  A search warrant was also executed on a vehicle associated to the suspect. 

As a result of the search, the following was seized (see attached photo):

  • Approximately 4 ounces of cocaine
  • Approximately $20,000 in currency
  • Other items consistent with drug trafficking

Rishawn Simpson (32) of Mississauga has been arrested and charged with:

  • Trafficking in a Controlled Substance – Cocaine
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

Simpson was released on an Undertaking.
