The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating hateful and racist vandalism left on two occasions on a fence in the town of Oakville.

On October 22, 2022, police were notified of the graffiti spray-painted to a wood fence on the northwest corner of East Gate Crescent. The messages included a racist slur and a swastika. The messages have since been removed and are no longer on the fence.

Police investigation to date has determined that the suspect(s) first vandalized the fence sometime before October 19; the second act of vandalism occurred between between October 19 and October 21, 2022. 

The HRPS is committed to the safety and well-being of our residents and is working diligently to identify those responsible.
