Arrest Made in Oakville Sexual Assault Investigation

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has charged a Hamilton man with sexual assault following an investigation in Oakville.

The accused was working at Custom Forming located at 2383 Dundas Street West at the time of the offence. Police were contacted after an adult female was sexually assaulted during an interaction with the accused at that location.

On March 30, 2026, Gabriel Da Silva (58), of Hamilton, was arrested and charged with one count of Sexual Assault.

Da Silva has been held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.

Police are concerned there may be additional victims and request anyone with information, or anyone who has been victimized by the accused to contact the Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit at 905-825-4777 ext. 8970.

Sexual assault is any touching of another person without their consent where the touching is of a sexual nature, or where the sexual integrity of the victim is violated.  A sexual assault can range from unwanted touching to sexual assault involving penetration.

There is no statute of limitation when it comes to reporting a sexual assault.  This means that no matter how long ago the sexual assault happened, you can still report it to police for investigation.
