In the early morning hours of Saturday, July 22, 2023, an HRPS officer pulled over Mr. Matthew Flannigan on Plains Road East in Burlington. During the traffic stop, the officer formed grounds to arrest Flannigan under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

On Monday, March 16th 2026, Police responded to a call at the Aldershot Go station in the city of Burlington. The Victim had reported to Police that he was driving through the Go station parking lot and an unknown male turned around and started hitting his vehicle. After the victim had exited his vehicle to speak to the male, the male then threatened to stab him.
