Carjacking Suspects Arrested

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested two teen males and laid multiple charges following three carjacking incidents that occurred across Milton and Burlington.

On March 27, 2026, at approximately 3:50 p.m. two masked males approached the driver of a vehicle in the area of Derry Road and Farmstead Drive in Milton. The driver was forcibly removed from the vehicle and the males fled in the stolen vehicle towards Burlington.

Over the next hour two further carjackings were committed in Burlington, the first in the area of Britannia Road and Walkers line at approximately 4:40 p.m., and the second minutes later in the area of Cedar Springs Road and Britannia Road.

Patrol and investigative units flooded the areas and were able to locate one suspect at the scene of the first Burlington carjacking at Britannia Road and Walkers Line. Follow up investigation located the second suspect in Burlington later the same evening.

Investigation determined all three drivers were forcibly removed from their vehicles with one driver, an adult male, sustaining serious injuries as a result of the interaction.

No weapons were seen or used and all three stolen vehicles have been recovered.

As a result of the investigation,

A 17 year old male of Milton has been charged with the following:

  •          Robbery
  •          Theft of Motor Vehicle with Violence
  •          Disguise with Intent

A second 17 year old male, also of Milton, has been charged with the following:

  •          Robbery (3 Counts)
  •          Theft of Motor Vehicle with Violence (3 Counts)
  •          Disguise with Intent (3 Counts)
  •          Dangerous Operation Causing Bodily Harm

Both accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.

A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person, and therefore, the identities of the young persons charged in this investigation are protected.
