Caught On Tape – Occurrence Number: 2025-290737

On September 4, 2025, the suspect contacted the victim through a fraudulent phone number claiming to be an employee of a financial institution's fraud department. The suspect gave instructions to the victim to cut up their debit card and that a courier would be arranged to pick up the card for proper disposal.

The suspect then used the victim's cut up card at various retail establishments to purchase high-ticket items, resulting in thousands of dollars in loss to the victim.

Suspect: Male, Black, 5'7" - 5'11", 140-179lbs, wearing a black and blue sweater, and black, Chicago White Sox baseball cap.
