Daytime Shooting in Oakville

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a daytime shooting in Oakville. On Friday, March 27, 2026, at 12:05 pm, a suspect, who was travelling in a vehicle, fired multiple shots at a vehicle travelling behind him on Progress Court, near the South Service Road.

No persons were struck or injured in the shooting and the suspect vehicle fled eastbound on the South Service Road towards Fourth Line. Police believe the shooting was targeted.

Police conducted an extensive investigation and have arrested and charged Justin Tasevski (29 yrs) of Brampton with:

·       2 counts of Attempted Murder

·       2 counts of Discharging a Firearm with Intent

·       Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

·       Fail to Comply with Release Order

Tasevski has been held in custody and appeared before a court on March 29; he has been remanded to appear on April 1, in Milton.

Investigators believe this shooting was targeted, and are not seeking any additional suspects. However, police have not located the weapon used in this offence and are asking anyone with information on this investigation, including anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact the Major Crime Bureau tip line at 905-825-4777 ext. 4776.
