Halton Regional Police Service Officially Releases 2025 Annual Report
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released its 2025 Annual Report, now available online.
The report highlights a year of increased demand for policing services, alongside continued success in crime reduction and investigative effectiveness across the region.
In 2025, the HRPS responded to 149,054 calls for service, representing a 3.9 per cent increase compared to 2024. Despite this rise in call volume, overall crime declined in Halton. The Service recorded reductions in both violent and property crime, as well as a significant decrease in auto thefts.
The HRPS saw improvements in investigative outcomes, with the crime clearance rate rising to 35.4 per cent in 2025.
This year’s report features a series of articles highlighting major investigative achievements, as well as innovative policing strategies, community partnerships, and initiatives adopted by the Service over the past year. It also includes a comprehensive statistical breakdown of crime trends, both regionally and by district, providing transparency and insight into policing within Halton.
In addition to its operational successes, the HRPS has once again been recognized as one of the Greater Toronto Area’s Top Employers for 2025, marking the third consecutive year the Service has received this distinction.
