Halton Regional Police Service Unveils Enhanced Website Design with Community in Mind

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is pleased to introduce our newly redesigned website: www.haltonpolice.ca

In 2025, the HRPS conducted a community-wide survey to collect feedback about the previous website and used those insights to enhance how content is delivered and consumed, in line with the objectives set by the Halton Police Board in the 2024-2027 Strategic Plan.

Developed to serve and engage our community better, the new website offers improved navigation, increased accessibility, and functionality to make information fast and easy to find. Enhancing transparency, and strengthening trust with community members was a top priority for this launch.

“As we move forward and enhance the ways we operate as a police service, it is paramount that we continue to prioritize transparency and accountability,” said Stephen Tanner, Chief of Police of the HRPS. “The new website is critical to how we communicate with residents and community partners in Halton region. A refreshed platform presents an opportunity to enhance the user-experience, deliver informative content and ensure we continue to provide timely and relevant updates, further deepening the confidence our community has placed in us.”

This new website will serve as an information hub with access to breaking news, safety tips, and career opportunities. Some of the new features include:

• Real-time news content up-front and centre;
• Embedded social media channels (including X [Twitter], Instagram, Facebook) and videos on the homepage;
• Enhanced design for mobile and desktop devices; and
• More photos and videos of our sworn and civilian members who are proud to serve you.
