Home Invasion in Burlington Under Investigation

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a home invasion that occurred in Burlington.

On Sunday, April 26, at approximately 2:40 a.m., four suspects broke into a home in the southwest Aldershot neighbourhood. The suspects smashed a first-floor window to gain entry. The residents were asleep at the time and were awoken by the sound of breaking glass.

When the residents went to investigate, they were confronted by the suspects, who demanded valuables. One suspect, armed with a handgun, pointed it at a resident, while another suspect held a knife to a second resident. The residents handed over several pieces of jewelry before the suspects fled in a dark coloured sedan.

The suspects are described as four males wearing dark-coloured jackets with hoods and masks.

There were no physical injuries reported.

Investigators are appealing to the public for any video footage (dashcam or surveillance) from the area of North Shore Boulevard East and King Road between 2:20 a.m. and 3:10 a.m.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the 3 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777, ext. 2316.
