Maplehurst Correctional Officer Charged

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has charged a Maplehurst correctional officer following a month long investigation.

In early February 2026, the HRPS began an investigation into a correctional officer who was alleged to have transported items of contraband into Maplehurst Correctional Complex located at 661 Martin Street in Milton.

As a result of the investigation, on March 19, 2026, Adrian Deonarine (33) of Mississauga, was charged with one count of Breach of Trust by Public Officer.

Deonarine was released on an Undertaking with a future court date in Milton.
