Milton Man Arrested Following Break In To Area Residence

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested a male following a break and enter Investigation in Milton.

On May 5, 2026, at approximately 6 a.m. officers attended a residence in the area of Main Street E. and Thompson Road N. in response to a male who had entered the home through an unlocked door.

Investigation revealed that an adult female resident awoke to find the male inside the residence. The resident confronted the suspect, who immediately fled the area.

No property was stolen, and the female resident did not suffer any physical injuries.

Members of the One District Criminal Investigations Bureau assumed carriage of the investigation. Utilizing a variety of investigative techniques and neighbourhood canvassing, investigators were able to quickly identify the male suspect.

As a result of the investigation, on May 7, 2026, Keegan Banfo (36) of Milton was charged with the following:

  •          Break and Enter
  •          Fail to Comply with Probation Order (3 Counts)

Banfo was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.

Investigators are concerned Banfo may have been involved in additional break and enter occurrences and have attached photo’s of the accused to this media release.
