MISSING PERSON – Georgetown: Alan Smales (UPDATE)

UPDATE (February 23, 2026)

The Halton Regional Police Service is still searching for Georgetown man, Alan Smales. 
Family and police are concerned for his well-being and anyone who sees him or his vehicle is urged to contact police.

An updated photo of Smales and his vehicle have been attached to this media release. 

Investigators believe Smales is still operating a white 2022 Chrysler Grand Caravan, Ontario plate CYVE 659. Smales is believed to be mobile and may have been in the Cambridge and Guelph area recently. 

MISSING PERSON – Georgetown: Alan Smales (February 21)

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is seeking the public’s assistance is locating a missing Georgetown man.

Alan Smales (49) of Georgetown was last seen at approximately 10:30 am on February 20 in the area of 8th Line and 15 Side Road in Georgetown. 

Alan is described as:

• Male
• White
• Approximately 5’8” tall, with a medium build
• Medium length grey hair
• Last seen wearing a dark rimmed glasses, a dark sweater, blue jeans and tan work boots

A photo of Alan is attached. Alan is believed to be operating a white 2022 Chrysler Grand Caravan, Ontario plate CYVE 659.

Investigators believe Alan may be in the Niagara Falls area. 

Anyone with information about Alan or his possible location is asked to contact police through 9-1-1 or via the non-emergency line at 905 825 4777.
