Oakville Home Invasion and Vehicle Theft Under Investigation
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a home invasion and vehicle theft in Oakville.
On Sunday, April 26, at approximately 3:05 a.m., officers responded to a home in the area of Neyagawa Boulevard and Dundas Street. Three male suspects used a hammer to break a window on the front door, then reached inside to unlock the door and gain entry.
The residents awoke to the noise and were confronted by a suspect holding a hammer and demanding keys to a Mercedes SUV parked in the driveway.
After obtaining the keys, the suspects fled in the stolen SUV, along with a red SUV they had arrived in.
The stolen SUV was recovered unoccupied a short time later in Toronto.
There were no physical injuries reported.
Investigators are appealing to the public for any video footage (dashcam or surveillance) from the area of Dundas Street and Neyagawa Boulevard between 2:45 a.m. and 3:10 a.m.
