Shooting Investigation in Georgetown Leads to Quick Arrest
On June 29, at approximately 5:15 p.m., police were called to Dominion Gardens Park following reports of gunshots.
Officers attended and confirmed that a shooting had taken place in the parking lot of the park. Multiple shots were fired at a parked vehicle. There were members of the public in the area at the time of the incident; however, no one was struck and there were no reported physical injuries.
The HRPS Major Crime Bureau took carriage of this investigation and on Tuesday June 30, 2026, HRPS officers arrested a male suspect. Investigators believe this was a targeted shooting and there is no related risk to public safety. Police are not looking for any additional suspects.
