Suspect Sought in Oakville Jewellery Store Robbery
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is searching for a male suspect following a jewellery store robbery in Oakville.
On May 14, 2026, at approximately 10 a.m. an employee of National Jewellers, located at 61 Lakeshore Road W, was attending the store to open the business for the day when they were approached outside the business by a lone male suspect in possession of a handgun.
The employee was instructed to open the door and then directed to a secure area inside the business where the suspect obtained a quantity of cash and jewellery.
The employees hands were then bound before the suspect fled the store on foot.
A black BB gun was recovered at the scene and the employee did not suffer any physical injuries.
The suspect is described as:
Male, wearing a black hoodie, black running shoes, beige pants, gloves and a baseball hat, carrying a backpack.
The HRPS is requesting anyone with information regarding this investigation, including any security or dash cam video from the area of Lakeshore Rd W. and Wilson St. between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. to contact the 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777 ext. 2216.
