Tow Truck Arson in Burlington
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating an arson involving a tow truck in Burlington.
On February 26, 2026, at approximately 2:45 a.m., police and Burlington Fire responded to a fire involving a tow truck parked on Morris Drive, near the intersection of Harvester Road.
The truck was hauling a flatbed trailer that was loaded with an orange Hitachi excavator. Both the cab of the truck and the excavator were fully engulfed in flames.
Investigators have determined the fire to be an arson. Three suspects were seen in the area in a dark-coloured pickup truck. Photos of the vehicle have been attached to this media release.
Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact the 3 District Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-825-4777, ext. 2316.
Police are also asking anyone who may have dash camera footage from the Harvester Road and Morris Drive area between 2:30 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. to contact investigators.
