Ride Share Driver Charged With Sexual Assault

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) have charged a ride share driver with two counts of sexual assault following an investigation in Burlington.

On June 16, 2026, at approximately 5:15pm an adult female was in the south parking lot of the Burlington GO Station located at 2101 Fairview Street when she was approached by the accused. A conversation began during which the accused sexually assaulted the victim.

The victim immediately left, however she was followed by the accused to a business a short distance away. Here the accused approached and sexually assaulted the victim a second time.

The victim did not suffer any physical injuries.

The Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit (CASA) took carriage of the investigation and were able to identify the accused.

As a result of the investigation, on July 26, 2026, Mandeep Singh (25), of Etobicoke was arrested and charged with two counts of Sexual Assault.

Singh was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.

At the time of the offence the accused was employed as an Uber driver and investigators are concerned there may be additional victims. A photo of the accused has been attached to this media release.

Sexual assault is any touching of another person without their consent where the touching is of a sexual nature, or where the sexual integrity of the victim is violated.  A sexual assault can range from unwanted touching to sexual assault involving penetration.

There is no statute of limitation when it comes to reporting a sexual assault.  This means that no matter how long ago the sexual assault happened, you can still report it to police for investigation.
