The Unbreakable Link

As leaders in policing, members of the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) are proudly continuing this legacy as we introduce a new challenge – The Unbreakable Link.
The first of its kind to be held in Canada, and created by Mike Duhacek, HRPS member and Founder of Help Me Bury Cancer, The Unbreakable Link is a seven day, 168 consecutive hour walk/run in support of Cops for Cancer, a partnership between first responders and the Canadian Cancer Society that supports children with cancer and their families.
Rain or shine – HRPS members will lace up their shoes and take turns walking or running a track that will be stationed at the HRPS Headquarters in Oakville, Ontario.
One Relay. 168 Hours. One Fight.
Together, we will send a clear message to our community and families impacted by childhood cancer: you are not alone.

Please note that while official registration is only open to members of the Halton Regional Police Service, the public is encouraged to show their solidarity by donating funds or showing up at any point to walk/run the track alongside the HRPS team.
The public will be able to track the HRPS team’s location and mileage online as they stay in constant movement across the entirety of the seven days – keeping the link unbreakable.
