Fatal Hit and Run Collision in Burlington

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a fatal hit and run collision in Burlington.

On Thursday, August 27, 2026, at approximately 3:45 p.m., police were called to the area of Maple Avenue and Richmond Road in Burlington. An adult female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. Tragically, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision.

A photo of the suspect vehicle is attached to this media release. The vehicle was last seen travelling northbound on Maple Avenue. The car is described as a dark coloured sedan and police expect it would have damage to the front of the vehicle.
