Hit-and-Run Investigation in Burlington
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a hit-and-run collision in Burlington.
On October 7, at approximately 11:25 p.m., a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle travelling westbound on Fairview Street, just east of Brant Street. The adult male pedestrian was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
The collision occurred in the right (curb) lane of Fairview Street. The vehicle did not remain at the scene and was last seen travelling westbound on Fairview Street at a high rate of speed.
Witnesses described the vehicle as a dark-coloured, compact-sized SUV. The driver and passenger were both described as males, approximately 20 years old.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have information or dashcam footage from the area at the time of the collision, is asked to contact police.
