Police Searching for Hit and Run Driver
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is appealing to the public in an effort to identify a hit and run driver.
On Friday July 10, 2026, at approximately 9:50 a.m. a teenaged male pedestrian was crossing through the intersection of Appleby Line and Dundas Street in Burlington when he was struck by a vehicle attempting to turn onto Dundas Street from Appleby Line.
The driver stopped and quickly spoke with the male before continuing east on Dundas Street.
The male attended hospital where it was found he had sustained serious, non-life threatening injuries.
The vehicle is described as:
- Light coloured medium sized SUV. Possibly a Subaru Forester or Outback.
The vehicle driver is described as:
- Female, white, with light coloured hair
- Approximately 5’5” and 40 to 50 years of age
