Public Assistance Sought to Identify Young Girl Seen in Burlington
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is requesting public assistance to identify a young female observed in the area of No 1 Side Road and Guelph Line in Burlington.
On Thursday August 6, 2026, at approximately 12:00 p.m. HRPS received reports of a young female; believed to be around 10 years of age, on foot on No 1 Side Road just east of Guelph Line.
The HRPS has conducted an extensive search of the area (utilizing uniform officers, K9 and drone resources) however we have not yet identified the young girl. Police have not received a missing person or distress call but would like to identify the girl to ensure her safety.
She is described as white, 4 feet tall, with a thin build, dark brown hair pulled into a ponytail, wearing an oversized dark t-shirt.
It is possible she may have been travelling or hiking the Bruce Trail in the area and we would like to speak with anyone who was on the trail between Guelph Line and Walkers Line on August 6 during the hours of 11:30 am and 1:00 pm.
Anyone with information; anyone who may possess security or dash cam video, or have been driving in the area and observed the young girl, is asked to contact the HRPS at 905-825-4747 ext. 2316
