Reach Out Centre for Kids (R.O.C.K)

To ensure children, youth, and their families get the appropriate help and support when they need it most, this partnership with the R.O.C.K. allows our officers to directly refer youth under the age of 17 and their families to R.O.C.K for mental health support and follow-up care.

Currently, R.O.C.K. crisis workers are embedded with the HRPS’ Youth Team, enhancing the collaboration between teams to ensure youth’s mental health is supported. This initiative has strengthened mental health training and consultation for officers, improved access to resources for youth in need, and enhanced support for youth and their families across our Halton community.

R.O.C.K's Crisis Response Program provides immediate outreach for children and youth, their parents/caregivers, and community members. The Crisis Response telephone number will connect you to our 24-hour answering service, where you will then be connected with a crisis counsellor as soon as possible.
