Our Media Relations Officers are the official spokespersons for the Halton Regional Police Service and act as the primary liaisons between the police service and the news media.

Communications for emergency and major incidents

Whenever feasible, the Halton Regional Police Service will provide information on emergency and major incidents. The information is released through direct notification to media agencies and postings to our website and Twitter account. If necessary, the information will include alert or warning messages and instructions.

The immediate release of information will be dependent on public, victim and officer safety concerns as well as investigative integrity.

Halton Women’s Place, the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS), and the Town of Halton Hills will be unveiling and dedicating a purple bench in honour and support of victims of intimate partner violence on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 10:00 am at Dominion Gardens Park in Georgetown.

Vehicle of Interest Image 1 The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person or persons responsible for the homicide of Ryan Lorde.
