On March 11, 2023, at approximately 11:20 p.m. Halton Regional Police Service officers responded to a fully involved residential fire on Eighth Line in the Town of Halton Hills. The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) – 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau has arrested a Personal Support Worker (PSW) in relation to the theft of a safe from an Oakville residence.
On March 7, 2023, the HRPS began an investigation into a theft that took place at a residence in the area of Bronte Road and Rebecca Street in Oakville. Man Charged in Drug Investigation

On February 22, 2023, members of the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) Drug Unit and Intelligence Bureau concluded a drug investigation with the arrest of Zachary Ardizzi (30) of Toronto.
At the time of the arrest, investigators also seized 23 kilograms of cocaine (see attached photo and video).
A Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant was later executed at a Toronto condominium complex where psilocybin (magic mushrooms) and more than $13,000 in Canadian currency were seized.

Investigation Into 2022 Death of Oakville Child Results in Charges

On June 4, 2022, the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) began an investigation into the sudden death of a young child that occurred inside an Oakville residence. The two-year-old was found deceased in a bathtub due to an apparent drowning.
The HRPS Homicide Unit conducted an extensive investigation and as a result have laid charges against the mother of the child.

"Project Umbreon” Leads to Arrest of Male Responsible for Collectible Store Break-Ins

The Halton Regional Police Service – 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau has made two arrests in relation to a break and enter investigation dubbed “Project Umbreon”.
In February 2023, investigators identified a suspect who was believed to be responsible for several commercial break and enters that targeted collectible stores in Oakville, Burlington, York, London, Brantford and Niagara.
