The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a robbery that took place at Mapleview Shopping Centre in Burlington.
On Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at approximately 4:20 p.m. an older adult female victim was followed out of the mall by a male suspect after purchasing a laptop computer at the Apple Store.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) Traffic Services Unit has compiled statistics from this year's Project Safe Start road safety initiative and failing to stop at a stop sign was the most common offence observed by HRPS officers across Halton region.

Homicide Investigation in Milton

On Monday September 12, 2022, at approximately 2:50 p.m. the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) responded to multiple reports of a shooting at an auto shop in Milton.
Police attended a business located at 32 Bronte Street South, and found three victims with gunshot wounds. Tragically, 38-year-old Shakeel Ashraf of Milton died at the scene and two other victims were transported to hospital. They remain in critical and serious conditions and police are not releasing their names at this time.
