Lockdown at White Oaks Secondary School Leads to Replica Handgun Seized

On May 31, 2022, at 2:30 pm, the Halton Regional Police Service received reports of a male with a firearm at the South Campus of White Oaks Secondary School in Oakville. At the time of the report, it was not known if the weapon was real or a replica.

Halton Regional Police Service Receives Mobile Crisis Response Teams Enhancement Grant

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is pleased to announce it has been awarded funding to expand its Mobile Crisis Rapid Response Teams through the Ministry of the Solicitor General’s (the Ministry) Mobile Crisis Response Teams Enhancement Grant.

Anniversary of the Good Samaritan Drug Overdose Act

This year, Halton Regional Police Service officers have already responded to 150 suspected overdoses involving either illicit substances, prescription drugs and/or over-the-counter medications.
