The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has made an arrest in response to a male committing an indecent act in Oakville.
On August 11, 2025, a male suspect rang the doorbell of at least two homes on Pelee Boulevard in Oakville. When no one answered, he committed an indecent act while facing the doorbell camera.
On August 13, 2025 investigators positively identified the suspect as Luke Hird (25) of No Fixed Address.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has made three arrests and laid 20 criminal charges following a lengthy drug trafficking investigation.

Charges laid in Fail to Remain Pedestrian Collision in Georgetown

At approximately 5:40pm on December 17th, 2024, a local 76 year old man was struck by an SUV while attempting to cross Mountainview Road South at the intersection with Campbell Gate in Georgetown. The elderly pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was transferred to a trauma center after being taken to Georgetown Hospital. The vehicle that struck him fled the scene and did not return. The Collision Reconstruction Unit took carriage of the investigation and identified the driver responsible.

At approximately 2:40pm on the 27th of July 2025, the Halton Regional Police Service was notified of a serious motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Steeles Avenue and Bronte St in the Town of Milton. The initial investigation indicates that the collision occurred between a Suzuki motorcycle operated by a 27 year old man, and a Nissan SUV driven by a 59 year old man, both from Milton.
