Project Cortex: Drug Trafficking Investigation Leads To Multiple Arrests

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has concluded a drug trafficking investigation, titled Project Cortex.

The four-month long investigation targeted a trafficking network operating in the region of Halton and throughout the city of Hamilton. In February and March police executed four search warrants at residences in Burlington, Oakville and Grimsby.

Public Safety Advisory: Sexual Assault In Oakville

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a male suspect involved in a sexual assault in Oakville.

On March 14, 2025, at approximately 12:10 a.m., an adult female was walking on Sovereign Street, just west of Jones Street, when she was approached by an unknown adult male who initiated a conversation with her. The male subsequently sexually assaulted her. The female defended herself, causing the suspect to flee on foot eastbound on Sovereign Street.

Traffic Stop in Oakville Leads to Two Auto Theft Arrests

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has made yet another two auto-theft related arrests after a traffic stop in Oakville.

On February 25, 2025, at approximately 10:30 am an HRPS officer conducted a traffic stop on an Audi sedan in the area of Neyagawa Boulevard and Gardenbrook Avenue in Oakville.
