Pursuit Results in Damaged Cruisers and a Arrest

Police responed to a report of an intoxicated female who was seen entering a vehicle and driving away. Police located the vehicle eastbound on Plains Rd at Maple Ave in the city of Bulington. An officer attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver refused to stop. The pursuit began and continued east along Fairview and turned north onto Guelph Line where officers were able to box the vehicle in. The officers were trying to extract the driver from the vehicle when the female driver accelerated away and the officers were forced to let her go. The vehicle entered the east bound QEW. Officers pursued her as there was an extreme concern for public safety based on her behavior and how she was driving her vehicle.  Three officers attempted a rolling block but the female driver began to ram their cruisers and increased her speed. As a result,he pursuit was terminated. No officers were injured in this incident but 3 cruisers were damaged.

Police later located the Black Nissan abandoned on Syscon Rd across from the Hilton Garden Inn. Officers were able to confirm the female suspect had checked in to the Inn and she was located and taken into custody.
