On Friday July 12, 2019 the Halton Regional Police Service responded to a report of a serious injury collision, involving a motorcycle and an SUV on Wyecroft Road, east of Dorval Drive, in the town of Oakville.
A 21 year old male resident of Oakville was travelling eastbound on Wyecroft Road, east of Dorval Drive on his motorcycle. A 19 year old female resident of Mississauga was driving her family SUV westbound on Wyecroft Road at the same location and turned left across the path of the motorcyclist. The motorcycle collided with the SUV and the male sustained injuries requiring medical treatment. The SUV occupants were uninjured.
Ambulance arrived and transported the male to Hamilton General Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries. Family was notified and attended the hospital.
Due to the serious nature of the injuries, the Collision Reconstruction Unit responded and took carriage of the investigation. The scene was held for approximately 5 hours for the at-scene collision investigation.
