Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region

​On November 2, 2019, just before 8:30 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Yates Drive and Bollingbroke Drive in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Tashan Carty (31) of Milton was charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand.

On November 2, 2019, just before 11:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Willhaven Trail and Pine Glen Road in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Thomas Sherren (18) of Oakville was charged operation while impaired. 

On November 3, 2019, just before 1​2:30 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of New Street and Longmoor Drive in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Patrick Quinn (46) of Burlington was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours. 

On November 3, 2019, just after 1:00 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Regional Road 25 and Britannia Road in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Devinder Singh (27) of Oakville was charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand and operation while impaired. 

On November 3, 2019, just before 3:00 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Upper Middle Road East and Winston Churchill Boulevard in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Samia Alam (40) of Burlington was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours. 

On November 3, 2019, just after 4:00 am, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Palmer Drive and Hannibal Road in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Steven Bright (33) of Burlington was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On November 3, 2019 just before 8:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of 17 Side Road and Fourth Line in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, Mark Sears (45) of Milton was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives. 

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.

Please be reminded that all persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
