Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region

On November 22, 2019 just after 8:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Bader Crescent and Barlow Crescent in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Alanna Sanford (34) of Waterdown was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On November 22, 2019 just after 10:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Derry Road and Farmstead Drive in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Lisa Hooper (43) of Milton was charged with operation while impaired and failure or refusal to comply with demand.

On November 23, 2019, just after 1:00 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Appleby Line and Cottonwood Drive in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Raif Murray (51) of Burlington was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On November 23, 2019, just after 2:00 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Sheridan Park Drive in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Piragash Pooniah (58) of Brampton was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On November 23, 2019, just after 3:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Thompson Road and Main Street in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Michelle Jackson (41) of Milton was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On November 24, 2019, just after 1:00 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Main Street North and Moore Park Crescent in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, Nicole O'Brien (29) of Halton Hills was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
