Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region

‚ÄčOn November 29, 2019, just before 11:00 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Thompson Road North and Maple Avenue in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Kalman Vecsernyes (60) of Burlington was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On November 29, 2019, just after 7:30 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Trafalgar Road and Upper Middle Road East in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Mikhail Viegas (33) of Oakville was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On November 29, 2019, just after 8:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Lakeshore Road West and Nelson Street in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Donald Caldwell (56) of Oakville was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On November 30, 2019 just after 12:30 am, Halton Police officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. initiative in the area of Brant Street and Fairview Street in Burlington. As a result of this initiative, Hieu-Minh Tran (37) of Milton was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On November 30, 2019, just before 7:30 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Kerr Street and Speers Road in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Gelu Miulescu (60) of Oakville was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On December 1, 2019 just before 3:00 am, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Fouth Line and Britannia Road in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Justin Teelucksingh (24) of Milton was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On December 1, 2019, just after 7:30 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Trafalgar Road and Cornwall Road in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Samad Uddin (34) of Toronto was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
