Location: Town of Milton
On Sunday January 5th, 2020 the Halton Regional Police Service responded to a report of a serious injury collision, involving multiple motor vehicles on Derry Road, east of Trafalgar Road in the Town of Milton.
At approximately 7:05pm, a 24 year old male resident of Mississauga was operating a 2008 Toyota Camry eastbound on Derry Road when the vehicle crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2016 Volkswagen Jetta. The driver of the Volkswagen, a 35 year old male resident of Milton, was transported to hospital along with three other passengers that were inside the Volkswagen. The driver of the Toyota Camry was not injured.
Due to the nature of the injuries, the Halton Regional Police Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to assist in the investigation. Further assessments were conducted of all four identified hospitalized individuals at which point their medical statuses were eventually updated to having suffered from non-life threatening injuries. The scene was held for approximately 4 hours for the at-scene collision investigation and roadway cleanup.
