Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region

‚ÄčOn February 14, 2020, just after 9:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Derry Road and Scott Boulevard in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Chris Vincent (26) of Milton was charged with operation while impaired and failure or refusal to comply with demand.

On February 15, 2020, just before 1:00 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Derry Road and Sixth Line in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Warwick Matthews (50) of Mississauga was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On February 15, 2020, just before 7:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Eighth Line and Abbitt Crescent in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, Chad Fleming (36) of Halton Hills was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On February 15, 2020, just after 7:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Plains Road East and King Road in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Eric Boehling (22) of Dundas was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On February 16, 2020, just after 2:30 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Third Line and Old Lakeshore Road in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Cleve George-McCool (32) of Niagara Falls was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On February 16, 2020, just before 5:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Country Club Drive and Walkers Line in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Sophie Bunting (29) of Burlington was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.

Please be reminded that all persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
