Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region

‚ÄčOn February 21, 2020, just after 5:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Appleby Line and Fairview Street in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Eric Vankalmthout (57) of Oakville was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On February 21, 2020 just before 9:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Guelph Line and Lowville Park Road in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Alexandre Pitre (20) of Burlington was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On February 22, 2020 just after 9:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Brant Street and Pine Street in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Jonathan Magda (33) of Oakville was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On February 23, 2020, just before 3:30 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Prince Charles Drive and Gray Gate in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, Stuart Hyslop (35) of Halton Hills was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On February 23, 2020 just after 7:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Lakeshore Road and White Pines Drive in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, David Leclerc (60) of Burlington was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On February 23, 2020 just before 11:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Laurier Avenue and Ontario Street South in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Kyle Kaldenbach (22) of Milton was charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
