***ORIGINAL MEDIA RELEASE**

Halton Regional Police Service officers and members of the Oakville Fire Department are currently at 465 Wyecroft Road in Oakville, where a large fire engulfed a commercial premise. The fire was reported at 12:38 a.m. today. Road closures are in effect at Fourth Line/Wyecroft Road, Dorval Drive/Wyecroft Road, and Wyecroft Road itself between Fourth Line and Dorval Drive. The fire is under control and being extinguished by the Oakville Fire Department, but the cause of the fire is not yet known. Nobody is believed to have been injured as a result of the fire, and no area residents or businesses required evacuation. A designated media area was situated near the intersection of Dorval Drive/Speers Road, but the Platoon Fire Chief on scene will be relocating that area closer to the scene as the fire has now been controlled.

The investigation involving this incident is still ongoing, and the Halton Regional Police Service appreciates the cooperation and patience of those affected by the road closures.

There is no additional information to be released at this time. Members of the media can obtain updates at the designated media area at the scene, while further updates will also be provided via the Halton Regional Police Service Twitter account, and subsequent media releases.
