Male Charged in Burlington for Stunt Driving and Speeding – 156 km/h in a 60 km/h Zone

On June 21, 2020, a Halton Regional Police officer was in the area of Harvester Road and Appleby Line in Burlington, for the purpose of traffic safety. At 3:00 pm the officer observed a Mercedes accelerate at a high rate of speed from the above intersection.  The vehicle was captured on radar travelling eastbound on Harvester Road at a speed of 156 km/h in the posted 60 km/h zone.

A traffic stop was initiated and a male driver from Mississauga was charged with:

-Stunt Driving

-Speeding: 156 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.

The vehicle was seized and the driver was served a 7 day licence suspension.
