Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region

‚ÄčOn June 26, 2020 just after 11:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Fairview Street and Maple Avenue in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, M McKeen (70) of Burlington was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On June 27, 2020, just before 3:00 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of South Service Road East and Trafalgar Road in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Curtis Moses (30) of Toronto was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On June 27, 2020, just before 10:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Whitmer Street and Main Street West in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Ryan Horses (40) of Milton was charged with operation while impaired and failure or refusal to comply with demand.

On June 28, 2020, just after 10:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Clearview Drive and Prince John Circle in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Shawn Ramchand (35) of Mississauga was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On June 28, 2020 just before 11:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of the Queen Elizabeth Way and Plains Road East. As a result of an investigation, Carlos Klug Gomez (27) of Hamilton was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On June 29, 2020, just before 1:30 am, Halton Police officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. initiative in the area of Appleby Line and Harvester Road in Burlington. As a result of this initiative, Jaxson Corbett (19) of Burlington was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On June 29, 2020, just before 3:00 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Walkers Line and Berton Avenue in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Cevahir Gonen (26) of Burlington was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
