Cyclist Struck by Police Cruiser in Milton

‚ÄčOn Tuesday June 30, 2020 at approximately 10:08pm a Halton Regional Police Officer operating an unmarked police cruiser was involved in a collision with a cyclist at the intersection of Main Street East at Thompson Rd North in the Town of Milton.

Emergency Medical Services and and the Fire Department were dispatched and attended to the cyclist. The cyclist was later transported to a trauma centre. It was determined that the cyclist was suffering from non life threatening injuries. No other people were hurt.

Due to the nature of the collision, the Collision Resconstruction Unit and Identification Unit attended the scene.

Any witnesses, who have not yet spoken to police, are urged to call (905) 825-4747 extension 2410 and speak with the on duty Staff Sergeant.  Anyone who may have dash cam footage and was in the area around the time of the collision is also urged to contact police.
