Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region

‚ÄčOn September 19, 2020, just after 2:30 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Yates Drive and Bolingbroke Drive in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Mohammed Al-Khashab (19) of Milton was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On September 19, 2020, just before 7:30 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of James Snow Parkway and Derry Road in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Stephen Soti (46) of Milton was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On September 19, 2020, just after 10:00 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Guelph Street and Maple Avenue in Georgetown. As a result of an investigation, Carmen Popa (42) of Georgetown was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On September 19, 2020, just before 10:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of James Snow Parkway and Steeles Avenue in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Alicia Riquelme (68) of Oakville was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On September 19, 2020, just before 11:30 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Main Street East and Ontario Street in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Jeremy Mifsud (27) of Milton was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On September 20, 2020, just after 2:30 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Brant Street and Lakeshore Road in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Rachel Young (27) of Hamilton was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On September 20, 2020, just after 12:30 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Queen Street and Longfield Road in Acton. As a result of an investigation, Claire Matthews (66) of Halton Hills was charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand.

On September 20, 2020, just after 6:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Fairview Street and Maple Avenue in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Deena Rowe (39) of Milton was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
