Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region

‚ÄčOn October 2, 2020 just after 12:00 am, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Wanless Drive in Halton Hills. As a result of an investigation, Alora Graves (19) of Brampton was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On October 2, 2020, just after 7:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Burloak Drive and Prince William Drive in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Matthew Beaton (39) of Burlington was charged with operation while impaired and failure or refusal to comply with demand.

On October 2, 2020, just before 10:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Toffee Street and Walkers Line in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Jeffrey Branch (60) of Burlington was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On October 2, 2020 just after 11:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Fifth Line and Main Street East in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Janelle Francis (25) of Milton was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On October 4, 2020, just after 2:30 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Faversham Avenue and Cavendish Drive in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Mark Bailey (35) of Burlington was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On October 5, 2020, just after 12:00 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint in the area of Market Drive and Martin Street in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Harpreet Kounsil (40) of Mississauga was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
