Flipping into Success is a community-rooted gymnastics program led by a Halton Regional Police Service officer at Burlington Gymnastics Club. This eight to ten-week program offers local youth a chance to experience the sport of gymnastics – often for the first time.

All sessions are led by an officer who is also a fully certified gymnastics coach. This creates a rare and powerful opportunity for the officer to connect with youth in a supportive, positive, and non-enforcement setting.

This program eliminates barriers, giving youth the chance to explore the sport of gymnastics and build confidence. Through weekly interactions, the officer becomes a trusted mentor while connecting with families to foster open communication and community trust. Families feel supported, not just during the program but well beyond it.

This program builds more than physical strength. It nurtures:

  • Resilience
  • Confidence and self-esteem
  • Discipline and dedication
  • Healthy, active lifestyles
  • Teamwork and leadership skills
  • A sense of belonging
  • Mutual respect between youth, families, and officers
