Youth Arrested and Charged after Stabbing at Georgetown District Highschool

On the 2nd of March, 2023, the Halton Regional Police Service responded to a stabbing which occurred within Georgetown District Highschool. A young offender assaulted another student within the classroom with an edged weapon before fleeing the school area on foot.
Local schools were put into lockdown for a short period for police investigation. One youth was transported to hospital and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is seeking the public’s assistance is locating a missing Burlington man.
Frank Molzahn (64) of Burlington was last seen on December 27, 2022, in the area of North Shore Boulevard East and Edgewater Crescent in Burlington.
Frank is described as:
- Male
- White
- Grey hair
- Wears glasses
- 5’8” tall
- Thin build

The Halton Regional Police Service – 1 District Criminal Investigations Bureau, with assistance from the Tactical Rescue Unit and Mobile Surveillance Unit, have made an arrest in relation to the February 21, 2023, carjacking in Milton.
On February 26, 2023, at approximately 9:15 pm, officers arrested Shawn Moore (38) of Brampton. Moore was arrested outside a residence in Brampton. He has been charged with:
- Robbery
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 (3 counts)

The Halton Regional Police Service – Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit has arrested a former Burlington elementary school teacher in relation to a series of historical sexual assaults.
In June 2022, a victim (male) reported to police that while attending Pineland Public School in Burlington in 1982-1983, he was sexually assaulted by the suspect, who was his teacher at the school. The victim was in grade 8 at the time.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) Auto Theft Task Force has made a pair of arrests and laid more than 30 charges after an investigation into an organized auto theft network.
In November of 2022, HRPS officers began investigating two suspects believed to be trafficking stolen vehicles out of a warehouse in Burlington. Vehicles were stolen from throughout the GTA and loaded onto shipping containers intended for Dubai, UAE.
