Pedestrian struck by train in Oakville
On Thursday, July 13, 2017, at approximately 7:40 a.m., a pedestrian was struck by an eastbound GO train on the railroad tracks at Burloak Drive north of Wyecroft Road in the Town of Oakville. The incident occurred at a level crossing with the gates down. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. The deceased party is a male resident of Oakville. This is the first train related fatality in the Region of Halton in 2017.
