Impaired Driving Offences Summary within Halton Region



On Wednesday, January 10, 2018, just before 11:00pm, Halton Police officers investigated a collision at Speers Road and Third Line in Oakville. Following an investigation, police charged Narinder Bhogal (46) of Burlington with driving while ability impaired and driving over 80mgs.

On Thursday, January 11, 2018, just before 12:30am, a traffic stop was initiated in the area of Upper Middle Road and Imperial Way in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Dejan Bizic (47) of Burlington was charged with driving over 80mgs.

On Thursday, January 11, 2018, just before 2:30am, a traffic stop was initiated in the area of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Truscott Drive in Mississauga. As a result of an investigation, Carlos Vasquez Gutierrez (38) of Hamilton was charged with driving over 80mgs.

On Thursday, January 11, 2018, just before 3:30am, a traffic stop was initiated in the area of Oxford Avenue and Russell Drive in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Huthaifa Saleh (29) of Oakville was charged with driving over 80mgs.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
