Armed Robbery at Milton Bank

Halton Police were called to Milton's Main Street & Thompson Road Scotiabank branch just before 8pm Friday night in response to an armed robbery.

Two males entered the bank brandishing a pistol and demanded money from the tellers.  After scooping up an undisclosed amount of cash the pair fled on foot, last seen running eastbound toward the Milton Library and Performing Arts Centre.

During the robbery, a male teller sustained a minor head injury from being struck by one of the assailants with the butt end of the pistol.  The teller was taken to a local hospital by EMS as a precaution.

Milton Detectives have taken carriage of the investigation.
