Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region



On July 7, 2018 shortly before 2:30 am, Halton Police were conducting a mobile R.I.D.E. initiative near Derry Road and Farmstead Drive in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Hyun Park (48), of Oakville was charged with driving over 80mgs.

On July 7, 2018 shortly after 4:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint near the intersection of Dundas Street and Walkers Line in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Martin Lupton (39), of Hamilton, was charged with driving while ability impaired.

On July 7, 2018 shortly at approximately 7:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint near the intersection of Guelph Line and Upper Middle Road in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Blair Wiley (55), of Burlington was charged with driving while ability impaired and driving over 80mgs.

On July 7, 2018 shortly before 10:30 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint near Dundas Street and Neyagawa Boulevard in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Ayaz Ahmed (21), of Oakville, was charged with driving while ability impaired and driving over 80mgs.

On July 8, 2018 shortly before 1:30 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint near New Street and Guelph Line in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Derek MacInnis (26), of Burlington, was charged with driving while ability impaired and driving over 80mgs.

On July 8, 2018 shortly before 2:00 am, Halton Police officers responded to a citizen-initiated complaint near Main Street and Pearson Way in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Jose Escobedo Tasayco (38), of Milton, was charged with driving while ability impaired and driving over 80mgs.

On July 9, 2018, shortly before 10:30 pm, Halton Police responded to a citizen-initiated complaint about a collision near the intersection of Morden Road and Lakeshore Rd. W. in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, Andrzej Szczepanski (52) of Mississauga, was charged with driving while ability impaired and fail or refuse to provide sample.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.

The Service’s Twitter and Facebook accounts should not be used for this purpose as they are not monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Please be reminded that all persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
